Starting a Small Business in todays toxic everything now world

I have for decades had the desire to do just what I'm doing now which is to open a small retail hunting and fishing products website to try to offer products at a profit but to not pay a corporate greed machine. I am in that process and let me tell you, the weeds are thick and the overgrowth will choke you out. Most people who are trying to do just what I am selling on Amazon or Ebay have one very bad thing in common and it makes establishing something much more difficult. That is if it doesn't sell in a few days from initial post, discount it to break even and move to something else. Problem is there are thousands of this mindset between Amazon Tictok and Ebay. There is no patience in the game or putting any real thought into what it is you really want to sell.

Again I am just starting at this after decades of dreaming of what I wanted it to be. Today's instant everything approaches are making it way more painful than I ever imagined.
